Artist Bio


Ο Γεώργιος Ραχούτης γεννήθηκε το 1981 στην Αθήνα και μεγάλωσε στην Εύβοια. Παιδί καλλιτεχνών, εξελίσσεται νωρίς στα εικαστικά και τη μουσική. Σπούδασε γλυπτική στις Σχολές Καλών Τεχνών Κατάνιας και Ρώμης με τους καθηγητές Antonio Brancato, Silvio Marchese, Alfio Mongelli και Bruno Liberatore.
Από το 2000 συμμετέχει σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις, διαγωνισμούς και διεθνείς καλλιτεχνικές διοργανώσεις. Το 2004 διακρίθηκε με το 2ο βραβείο στο Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Γλυπτικής στη Νοβάρα της Ιταλίας.
Το 2006 του απονέμεται το 3ο βραβείο γλυπτικής στη διεθνή διοργάνωση ‘’Openart’’ και εκθέτει έργα του στην αίθουσα Bramante - piazza del popolo, στη Ρώμη.
Το 2008 στο διεθνή διαγωνισμό που διοργανώνεται από το Μουσείο Tokiwa της Ιαπωνίας, κερδίζει τη συμμετοχή του στην 23rd UBE Biennale’09 με το έργο ‘’Radiation’’.
Το 2008 επίσης επιλέγεται και συμμετέχει στο 1ο διεθνές Συμπόσιο Γλυπτικής - Πόλη Χρυσοχούς της Κύπρου και το 2009 στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Τέχνης και Επιστήμης Zervas Art στn Πάτρα.
Διατηρεί εργαστήριο γλυπτικής στη Ν. Αρτάκη Ευβοίας και διδάσκει στο Ευβοϊκό Κέντρο Τεχνών.


Georgios Rachoutis was born in 1981 in Athens and grew up in Evia. A child of artists, he developed very early into art and music. He studied sculpture in the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania and Rome next to Professors Antonio Brancato, Silvio Marchese, Alfio Mongelli and Bruno Liberatore.
Since 2000 he continuously participates in various exhibitions, competitions and international artistic organisations.
In 2004 he was awarded the 2nd reward in the International Competition of Sculpture in Novara, Italy.
In 2006 he was granted the 3rd reward of sculpture in the international organisation `'Openart'', while he exposed his work in the room Bramante - piazza del popolo, in Rome.
In 2008 in the international competition that is organised by the Museum Tokiwa of Japan, he gained his participation in the 23rd UBE Biennale'09 with the work `'Radiation''.
In 2008 he was also selected to participate in the 1st international Symposium of Sculpture in Polis Chrysochous, Cyprus and in 2009 in the International Festival of Art and Science Zervas Art in Patras Greece.
He currently maintains a laboratory of sculpture in N. Artaki, Evia and he teaches in the Eubean Centre of Arts in Greece.


Georgios Rachoutis nasce nel 1981 ad Atene e cresce sull’isola di Eubea (Grecia). Figlio d'arte, ha sviluppato presto la sua passione per l'arte e la musica. Ha studiato scultura nelle Accademie di Belle Arti di Catania e Roma con i Professori Antonio Brancato, Silvio Marchese, Alfio Mongelli e Bruno Liberatore.
Dal 2000 partecipa a mostre collettive, concorsi internazionali e organizzazioni artistiche. Nel 2004 vince il 2° premio al Concorso Internazionale di Scultura a Novara (Italia). Nel 2006 gli viene conferito il 3° premio di scultura nell’organizzazione internazionale “OpenArt” ed espone le sue opere nella sala Bramante - Piazza del Popolo a Roma. Nel 2008, al concorso internazionale organizzata dal Museo Tokiwa in Giappone, si aggiudica la partecipazione alla UBE 23 Biennale '09 con il lavoro ''Radiation''. Nel 2008 è stato inoltre selezionato per partecipare al 1° Simposio Internazionale di Scultura a Polis Chrysochous di Cipro (Grecia) e nel 2009 al Festival Internazionale di Arte e Scienza Zervas Arte a Patrasso (Grecia). Ha il suo laboratorio di scultura a N.Artaki sull’isola di Eubea. E’ membro professionale del Alloggiamento Ellenico delle Arti Visive e dell'Associazione Culturale “Art Evia”.
